When a DC voltage is applied to the two ends of a coil in a through-hole vibration motor, a magnetic field is generated in the coil. The interaction between the magnetic field and the permanent magnet installed in the motor housing generates a force that rotates the shaft.

Really good small vibration motor, I tested 10 pieces and all they worked just fine. Vibration is strong at 3V, and more so at greater voltages, but noted the rated voltage is 3V, I just tested and compared its vibration force at a bit higher voltage…👍🏼
