BLDC PWM Reduction Gear Motor Speed Control Performance
Product Overview
The NFP-PWM-BLDC-3650 is a BLDC motor driver module for 3-phase brushless motors. Therefore, it is suitable for brushless gear motors that need speed control, direction control, and braking support.
In addition, this controller supports a 6V to 30V DC load voltage range. As a result, users can apply it to many 12V and 24V brushless motor systems.
Moreover, the default frequency position is 20KHz. Therefore, it can support smooth and efficient motor speed regulation in many compact drive projects.
Main Safety Notes
- Do not overload the motor: The motor must not exceed the limit load. Therefore, avoid stalled operation.
- Check polarity: Do not reverse the positive and negative poles of the circuit board power supply. Otherwise, the chip may burn.
- Select the correct power supply: Choose the power supply according to the product input voltage. For example, use DC 12V or DC 24V as required.
- Control the load torque: If the motor approaches or exceeds the limit load torque, internal damage may occur. Therefore, use the motor within a reasonable load range.
- Check torque at low speed: Decreasing motor speed will reduce output torque. As a result, the load capacity may also decrease.
- Expect running noise: The motor may produce dB noise during operation. In addition, the noise may change slightly with speed and load.
- Function support: The controller supports forward and reverse switching, stepless speed regulation, and braking. However, braking requires the motor to have its own braking function.

Important Start and Direction Notes
- Check VCC and GND: VCC and GND cannot be used interchangeably. Therefore, confirm polarity before power-on.
- Stop before switching direction: Please switch CW/CCW only after the motor fully stops. As a result, the driver and motor can avoid damage.
- Start the motor: Connect the red wire to positive. Then, connect the black and white wires to GND.
- CCW direction: Connect the blue wire to low-level power. Therefore, the motor runs in the CCW direction.
- CW direction: Connect the black, white, and orange wires to low-level power. As a result, the motor runs in the CW direction.
2418 / 2430 General Wiring Instructions
The 2418 and 2430 motor series use a basic BLDC wiring layout. Therefore, users should check each wire before connecting the controller.
- Black wire: Negative pole of motor power supply.
- Red wire: Positive pole of motor power supply.
- Yellow wire: Speed signal output. In addition, the motor outputs 18 pulses for one motor revolution.
- White wire: Motor stepless speed regulation port. Input PWM; the duty cycle is inversely proportional to speed. Moreover, connect it to the negative pole for the highest speed.
- Orange wire: Motor forward and reverse control. When the port is not connected, the motor is CCW. However, when the port connects to low level ≤0.6V, the motor runs CW.
3525 / 3650 General Wiring Instructions
The 3525 and 3650 motor series use FG speed feedback and analog speed regulation. Therefore, users should connect each wire according to the required control method.
- Black wire: Negative pole of motor power supply.
- Red wire: Positive pole of motor power supply.
- Yellow wire: FG signal output for external speed detection. In addition, a three-pair-pole magnetic ring outputs nine square wave pulses per motor revolution.
- White wire: Motor forward and reverse control. When the port is not connected, the motor is CCW. However, when the port connects to low level ≤0.6V, the motor runs CW.
- Blue wire: Speed regulation control. As a result, users can regulate speed by inputting analog voltage, and the speed is proportional to voltage.
2838 General Wiring Instructions
The 2838 motor series supports FG signal output and PWM reverse speed regulation. Therefore, users should confirm the blue wire control mode before testing.
- Black wire: Negative pole of motor power supply.
- Red wire: Positive pole of motor power supply.
- Yellow wire: FG signal output for external speed detection. In addition, a three-pair-pole magnetic ring outputs nine square wave pulses per motor revolution.
